Sole Ownership
This is where you purchase a racehorse outright and have 100% ownership. As such, all prize monies won belongs to you, (less standard deductions for the winning trainer and jockey, usually 10% and 5% respectively), but all costs must also be borne by you and it should be a decision based on your own economic situation that guides you in the desire to own a racehorse yourself. All decisions on the horses racing career will be closing discussed with you as the owner, with due deference always being to the Head Trainer's knowledge and expertise in the training of the horse and it's racing ability.
